House of Maya Bridal Salons is the expansion of Maya Couture, established in Norfolk, VA in 2004. Recognized by BRIDE’S Magazine as one of the ‘Top 50 Bridal Salons Nationwide”, the store has blossomed into a unique blend of five bridal salons, Maya Couture, Maya Couture on Main, Pure English, Silk, Privee’, and a wedding services company, The Bridal Dish by House of Maya. The stores are spread between Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Suffolk, VA. The five stores differ in atmosphere, fashion, personality, location and price range, but they all operate on a philosophical platform of exceptional service and commitment to all customers accompanied by the very best in wedding attire and accessories from the most acclaimed designers in the industry. With a price range from $700-$3,000, Maya Couture, the 10,000 square foot flagship store is vast in size, but with an open, warm and welcome showroom brimming with over 500 gowns and a one-stop-shop concept comprised of some of the areas most reputable wedding professionals at your finger tips. It also has a slew of gown options for the full-figured bride. Maya Couture on Main is a whimsical boutique with attire for everyone in the bridal party with a price range matching Maya Couture. The studio houses the full suite of Allure bridal gowns, one of the most highly desired bridal collections in the industry. Pure English presents couture collections $1,800 to $6,000, in a relaxed, southern chic boutique setting. Silk is a modern and quaint bridal studio where brides can find limited edition couture gowns and accessories at a fraction of the original retail price. Privee is a hip, luxurious, private showroom with bridal couture from $2,500-$10,000. Full service alteration and custom gown services are offered at Pure English, Maya Couture and Silk. The Bridal Dish by House of Maya is a complimentary wedding planning company for couples seeking direction, referrals, and support throughout all stages of the planning process. The studio is located inside Maya Couture and Online.

About Maya Holihan

The most important fact you need to know about me is I love helping brides like you find the PERFECT gown for the most celebrated day of your life. Ever since I was a little girl I was a hopeless romantic, in love with love!! I still am today. When I was in my late teens I remember the instant I knew I wanted to be in the wedding industry. I was flipping through Town & Country Magazine, and the last few pages featured real weddings. I was blown away with the beauty, particularly the gowns and the emotion on the brides’ faces wearing them. There was one gown that spoke to me. It had a sheer illusion neckline and back, long sleeves, and buttons that went from the nape of the bride’s neck to the end of her cathedral train. The silhouette was a traditional ball gown. There were no other details on the dress, but the bride in this gown resonated to me as the quintessential bride! The designer was Vera Wang. I followed Vera’s career for years to come, especially when I launched my fashion career in 1995. And as fate would have it (and some hard work too), my entry into the wedding industry began in 2001 working for Vera Wang herself in New York City! I knew the very first day walking the showroom floor and feeling our brides’ excitement, anticipation, and giddy anxiety, where I was witness to this life moment that every bride, including you, will experience, I was meant to be in the wedding gown industry for the rest of my life! Other than my family, nothing brings me more joy then to orchestrate an experience for a bride when she meets HER GOWN! Almost 15 years in this industry and I still get goose bumps and teary eyed in that moment! The proof of my passion and endless commitment to you is what I like to call my “bridal pudding”. In 2004 I was Maya Couture – just one store creating lasting memories for brides. Eleven years later I’m House of Maya, with five unique stores for you to experience. Each store offers something special for you with exquisite merchandise and a level of service you deserve as you embark on the journey to meet “THE GOWN”. And, I look forward to meeting YOU! With my sincerest thanks and love in my heart,

~ Maya ~XOXO
